Okay. This movie was ADORABLE. Well-acted. Well-written. Simply good. I would recommend this film over and over again.
The movie begins with the wedding of Jessie (Arielle Kebbel) and Mike (Sage Brocklebank). Jessie is called “Bolt” by her father because she is known to “bolt” before a wedding. This particular trip down the aisle is her third (although she never actually makes it to the groom). The biggest issue (other than that she is not in love with the grooms) is that they propose in VERY public places where she feels she cannot say “no.”
So, once again the bolts. Cut to Aiden (Andrew Walker) who has just placed a bet with his co-workers (and friends) that he can find a girl to say “yes” to his marriage proposal by Christmas, which is four weeks away. Later that night, Aiden meets Jessie and her sister at an art exhibit.
When he can’t get Jessie to say “yes” to a date, he hires her to decorate and renovate his home (which is, as it turns out, her job). The two end of spending time together but on a purely professional level. As Jessie continues to deal with Mike (who is not giving up easily), Aiden finds himself falling in love with Jessie. And . . . the feeling is mutual. But what will she do when she discovers that their relationship is based on a bet?

Bookstore: No. I’m not even sure there was a book!
Hot chocolate/cocoa: Yes.
Bakery: If you count the cookies at Mom and Dad’s house . . . then yes! Sugar cookies, beautifully decorated!
Cute kid or pet: Yes! Jessie works as a volunteer at a shelter, and one particular dog has her heart.
Ornament Rating: 4.5 out of five shiny red ornaments!
I watched A Bride for Christmas on Amazon Prime.
Loved it as well. I’m a sucker for Christmas movies.
