Christmas Movie Review: A Christmas in Tennessee (Lifetime, 2018))

November 28, 2025 by Eva Marie Everson

Here we have it, the typical Christmas movie . . . but you’re gonna love it anyway! Why? Because not only does it star Santa Claus, but Mrs. Claus as well!

Andrew Walker plays single real estate developer Matthew who has been sent with his assistant to a small town in Tennessee to close a deal that will upset not only the townspeople, but most especially Allison (Rachel Boston) who, along with her mother (Patricia Richardson), owns the local bakery. Allison studied pastry-making in France, but after her father’s death, she returns to the States to keep the baker afloat.

The bakery is not financially stable which makes Matthew’s offer look good . . . to some. But not to Allison or her mother. Can a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, together with the townspeople (and maybe a little love), save not only Christmas but the bakery as well?

Bookstore: Nope. But there is the Smokey Mountain Bed & Breakfast!🙂

Hot chocolate/cocoa: Yes. And coffee and tea served in lovely Christmas china!

Bakery: Central to the story.

Cute kid or pet: Yes! Olivia (I kid you not . . . this is the third Olivia I’ve seen in these movies!) is adorable.

Ornament Rating: Four out of five shiny red ornaments!

I watched Christmas in Tennessee on YouTube. You can too by clicking HERE. Go ahead and get yourself a plate of sugar cookies . . . you cannot watch this movie without eating sugar cookies!
