If you, like me, enjoy vintage anything, you’ll love this movie!
First, it stars Tia Mowry who I can now say I’ve seen grow up (I used to watch her and her twin sister Tamera (alongside my girls) in the TV show Sister, Sister. Secondly, it also stars (in the male lead) Jesse Hutch who was also in the Candace Cameron Bure movie Let it Snow. Good actors, both!
In this movie, Tia’s character, Dodie, co-owns an antique shop that simply has to succeed. While cleaning out an armoir, she discovers a keepsake box with clues of a lost love. Determined to find the owners (Ginger & Carl) so as to know what happened to them, she accepts the help of new friend, Ed (Hutch). In the process, Dodie learns a lot about herself, life, and love.
Bookstore: No, but a wonderful antique shop with loads of Christmas decor.
Hot chocolate/cocoa: Yes, indeedy!
Bakery: Yes!
Cute kid or pet: Children peering through the store window at an antique train set . . . so adorable!
Ornament Rating: 4.5 out of five shiny red ornaments!
I watched A Very Vintage Christmas on Netflix, but you can watch the trailer here: Trailer
