In My Secret Santa, Alexandra Breckenridge (Virgin River) plays single mom, Taylor, who disquises herself as a man to get a job in a ski resort . . . playing Santa Claus himself. It’s kinda like a Hallmark holiday movie meets Tootsie . . . or Mrs. Doubtfire. But, in this case, there’s the resort owner’s son (Ryan Eggold) who fancies Taylor, but doesn’t know that his love interest is the “man” drawing children from far and wide to his dad’s resort. Add in Tia Mowry as the dark cloud and Diana Maria Riva as the landlord with the “hots” for “Santa” and you have a pretty good way to spend an hour and a half! There’s a cool twist near the end.
Bookstore: No, but a really sweet ski resort and a previously owned vinyl shop.
Hot chocolate/cocoa: Yep! In fact, it’s date candy!
Bakery: No. But there were cookies and I wanted one . . . desperately . . . after viewing!

Cute kid or pet: Zoey, Taylor’s young-teen daughter.
Ornament Rating: 4 out of five shiny red ornaments! My only issue (and perhaps I missed it) is that there was a dangling bit to the movie involving chap stick.
I watched My Secret Santa on Netflix. If you’d like to see the preview, you can find it here: My Secret Santa.
