Full confession: I love this movie. I have watched it every year since Lifetime released it. The Spirit of Christmas tells the story of a quite handsome man named Daniel (Thomas Beaudoin) who was killed a century ago. Now attorney Kate (Jen Lilley), is assigned the job of selling Daniel’s estate, which has become Hollygrove Inn, a stunningly gorgeous residence I would love to explore.
But Daniel doesn’t want the inn sold. Not only is Hollygrove Inn his home; his spirit is trapped there. Well, only 12 days per year. But those 12 days are the infamous “Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Together, Daniel and Kate work to discover who killed him, why he returns annually, and why he cannot (as we say) “rest in peace.”
Big issue however is that they don’t get along (at all), but they just may be falling in love. This becomes a real problem when you live a century apart and an even bigger issue when Daniel’s former fiance (also no longer alive) doesn’t want Kate anywhere around. Or is there another “spirit” haunting Hollygrove Inn?
Bookstore: No, but there’s a room full of books. And more than one ghost to reckon with.
Hot chocolate/cocoa: Can’t say I remember either, but Daniel serves as bartender at a party . . . interesting being served spirits by a spirit. (Grinning)

Bakery: No, but a wonderful decorating of the Christmas tree scene.
Cute kid or pet: No. But tons and tons of snow. And it all looks real for a change.
Ornament Rating: Five out of five shiny red ornaments!
I watched The Spirit of Christmas on YouTube for free and you can too by clicking on the link in the title/first paragraph. If you do, let me know what you think.
Ooh, sounds like a fun movie. Thanks, Eva Marie. I’ll need to find it soon.
